Terms of service

These terms apply to sealed EV charger foundation plans and calculations ("Deliverables") purchased from Elie Sayegh Structural Engineering, Inc. ("ESSE") through this site. By placing an order you agree to them.

1. Scope

The Deliverables cover only the concrete foundation (pad and/or drilled pier) and the anchorage of the charger to that foundation, as shown on the sheets. They do not cover electrical design, conduit routing, site or civil work, grading and drainage, accessibility, traffic or parking layout, canopies, wall or structure-mounted equipment, existing structures, or any element not shown.

2. Information you provide

The design relies on the project and equipment information you submit. The contractor is responsible for verifying that the installed equipment matches the weight, dimensions, and anchor pattern shown, and for verifying site conditions, dimensions, and underground utilities before construction. Report any discrepancy to ESSE before proceeding.

3. Soil and site conditions

Unless you provide a geotechnical report, the design uses presumptive soil values from CBC Table 1806.2. Where a site-specific geotechnical report exists, its recommendations govern. If conditions differ from those assumed (soft, wet, or fill soils, slopes, liquefaction or other hazards), stop work and contact ESSE.

4. Delivery

Deliverables are emailed as PDFs, signed and sealed by a California-licensed engineer, within one business day after payment and receipt of complete information. If we need more information, the turnaround starts when we receive it.

5. Revisions

One revision is included to respond to building department plan-check comments or to correct an input you supplied. Changes in site, equipment class, or scope after delivery are a new order.

6. Refunds

If ESSE determines that your project is outside the scope of this service and cannot deliver, you receive a full refund. Once Deliverables have been delivered, fees are non-refundable. Building department acceptance is not guaranteed; the included revision addresses plan-check comments.

7. Use of the Deliverables

Deliverables are licensed for one-time use at the project and site named on the sheets. They may not be reused for other sites, altered, or reproduced without ESSE's written consent.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ESSE's total liability arising from the Deliverables is limited to the fee paid for the order. ESSE is not responsible for construction means and methods, jobsite safety, or work that deviates from the Deliverables.
